I should have been there

Bigastro ended the weekend with a swearing-in ceremony where dozens of local people joined in a ceremony that served to dramatise their unconditional loyalty to the homeland.

Each paraded forward swore allegiance and kissed the Spanish flag as you can see in the first two pictures which show my good friend Fonta and his brother. The ceremony is called "Jurar Bandera".

The entertainment then came with a group of skydivers followed by several parades including bands.

As the title suggest, I was not there - the photos are in fact from the newspaper Information.
