Since February, 125 construction workers have been following a course leading to the Tarjeta Técnica de la Construcción in Bigastro.
At a press conference, Inmaculada Martínez, the Mayor of Bigastro, Raúl Valerio Medina and Francisco Martí, from UGT presented the successful candidates with their diplomas and cards.
Although having the card will not be obligatory until January 2012, many companies are already demanding that their workers carry one. In this case, Bigastro is leading the field by providing the courses free of charge to enable construction workers in the town to fulfil their legal obligations.
