Last week Pam had a letter hand delivered from the Ayuntamiento which we didn't quite understand. It was actually telling her that Bigastro is fortunate in having the huerta ("traditional orchard") where a wide range of vegetable products are grown. These form the basis of a diverse range of dishes. The Council of Women from Bigastro want to produce a recipe book to ensure that these do not get lost in the "fast pace of modern life."So the letter was inviting her to send in a recipe or recipes to be included in the book. I wonder if they would be impressed with beans on toast?

Mum could give those ladies any number of recipies, like melted cheese bread and tomatoes, or chops with stuffing on the top, or spag bol??? Or you could dress up in your panto costume and give them your paella recipe!!!!!!
i think jem should go in disguise as betty and put all her recipes forward!Then again cheese, tomatoes, sausages and bread is a defo favourite of mine! Could be a new winner and become a local spainish dish they sell in bigastro!
