A hot one

Looking out of the window. all I can see are clouds - no sun in sight. However, the temperature is already 27. We are told that it is expected to rise to 40-41  and only drop to 30 overnight.

I am thinking that it not a good day to undertake a major gardening project nor is it a day to go for a walk. Those who have arrived at the coast for their holidays must wonder whether they have brought the heat from inland with them.
