The Guardia Civil have started importing uniforms from China.
For 164 years the officers have worn uniforms made in Spain by Indyco and Fesca.
Now Sibide, a company based in Tianjin have supplied 10,000 sets of trousers, jackets, shirts and a few of the trademark tricornios hats to the Guardia.
Apparently there are a few problems to iron out though. The sizing's are wrong; the trousers are too short, the jackets too small and the hats, instead of being oval are round.
Still I imagine the Chinese will get it right in the end and their competitive pricing will win the day.
