Joy of joys

Have you noticed that the exchange rate i.e. the number of euros you get to the pound is slowly creeping back up. When I checked this morning, the commercial rate was 1.279 -a worthwhile improvement on last month. Some sceptics say it will never return to the 1.5ish mark of several years ago but you never know. We can but hope.

Update:- It is now 5pm and the rate is 1.287. Will it hit the 1.30 mark by Monday when my pension is paid in I ask myself?
