By word of mouth

When we need a job doing in the house, Pamela and I seek out the help of local craftspeople. As a matter of principle we believe it is right to give work to local people.

Normally they would be Spanish which can present a problem with the language barrier but we are prepared to overcome that. In our opinion, Spanish workers are every bit as thorough as their British counterparts and are often quite a bit cheaper.

However, when we had a problem with our pool, we sought the help of Andy Cole. Andy has done a lot of work up here at Villas Andrea starting with a kitchen extension to a house on Calle Holanda. You can see the quality of his work and judge for yourself.

Now that Andy has finished the job for us, I can tell you from first hand experience how good and how reasonable he is. Not only that but he is a tidy worker, meaning you don’t have to feel as though you are living on a building site whilst he is doing the job nor spend a day cleaning up after he has finished.

So if you have any sort of building work to be done, it is worth giving him a call on 619 573 566 or email him on fincamontana@hotmail.com. If you want to speak to him personally, you’ll probably find his white van parked somewhere on the estate doing another job for one of our neighbours.

Of course, if you have any steel work to be done, we can recommend you speak to Rafa at Pepe Lorente. You will find him at Pol. Ind. Apatel C/ del Progreso, 22 just up from the Cepsa garage. You can phone him on  965350038 but be prepared to try out your Spanish because he only speaks a little English and his father speaks none at all. He has also done a lot of work up here at Villas Andrea.
