More about the earthquakes

It seems that it very much depended upon where you live as to the effect of the two earthquakes on Friday. We definitely heard the rumble but felt nothing. Others say the sound of the quakes was more like an explosion and they certainly felt the effects. One neighbour thought that it was a gas explosion and went outside to investigate, another said that their house shook. A different neighbor, next door to the one who thought it was an explosion, said that he neither heard nor felt anything – he must be a very sound sleeper.

I can only imagine that the reason for different reactions lies with the land that houses are situated on.
