We have enjoyed many excellent concerts performed by La Banda de Musica de Bigastro. However, last night the band surpassed themselves by raising their standards even higher than on previous occasions. Good music excites the soul when it is played so well. There may have been a misplaced note here and there but you would hardly have noticed it as the band performed a program which included some superb solo performances.
It might be wrong to single out anyone in particular but it would be remiss of me not to mention Elisa Segura and Joaquin Saez who delighted us with their rendition of the Fantasia para 2 clarinetes “Fantasia” by Bures.
And what a finale: Vasa by José Suñer Oriola followed by El Relicario “Pasadoble by José Padilla.
