The town does its bit

According to the mayor, Raúl Valerio Medina, Bigastro council has helped to stave off the effects of unemployment in the town by finding work for 180 people in the last year. With the help of Servef and FEIL (the so called Plan E projects), unskilled labourers; bricklayers, farm workers and gardeners have been given temporary contracts.

With the second year of money from the government for FEIL, the town plans to continue to find work for people in Bigastro.
