I’m sure we heard an explosion yesterday somewhere towards the coast. Pamela says the windows shook as well. I’ve tried to find out the cause but can find no reference in the local newspapers.
I’ve also checked for earthquakes in the region. There was one of 1.8 between Elche and Alicante on the 22nd June and one of 1.9 near Pinoso on the 28th June but nothing since then in this region.
So, it remains a mystery unless chief scout Thorpe has any information.
My first tweet: John has just phoned to say that he thinks that what we heard was quarrying. He also tells me that there is a meeting tonight up at the Albergue. Notices about this are in the post boxes.
