Investigation widens

The six councillors who formed the socialist group in Bigastro during the previous municipal mandate were called  to the offices of the  Guardia Civil in Almoradí on  Tuesday. They arrived at 10am, accompanied by their lawyers and were later released at 2pm. Each will have to ratify their statements in court at Orihuela during the next few days.

Between 2003 and 2007 , the members of the socialist group were: the mayor José Joaquín Moya and six councillors: Mari Carmen Grau, Maria Jesús Torres García, Juana Ortiz Ferrer, Maria Francisca Nortes, José Espinosa Espinosa (also in the current group) and José Julián Sánchez Martínez.

All of them were involved in auction of rustic land at La Pedrera which was then urbanised to enable building to commence.
