Major tax fraud exposed

The National Police in collaboration with the Tributary Agency have ended a framework of massive fraud. Eight people have been detained for non payment of IBI tax amounting to 60million euros. They also stand accused of falsifying documents and money laundering.

The operation mainly centred around the sale of luxury cars. During the raid, the police confiscated 37 of these; including cars by Porsche, Mercedes, Lexus, Maseratti, Jaguar and BMW. The police also confiscated two yachts and luxury watches valued at 170,000 euros. The total worth of the operation is estimated at 365 million euros.

The detainees had 81 current accounts and 86 different addresses and operated from showrooms in San Juan, Onteniente, two in Madrid, Albalate de Zorita and Guadalajara.

The set up was obviously very clever but not clever enough.

PS I don't think they sold me my Skoda!
