Gang busted

The National Police of Alicante, in collaboration with the Judicial Police of the Guardia Civil in Guardamar del Segura, have arrested nine people charged with sexually exploiting Rumanian women in several night clubs in the province.

I total there were 53 women, including young girls with false documentation about their ages, involved.

The operation started in March when the National Police received a communication from the Rumanian Embassy in Madrid informing them of a network of Rumanians and Spaniards who had been collecting, transporting and later transferring young girls to Spain to work as prostitutes.

It has proved difficult to locate the money that has been made from this illegal trafficking because the gang used various companies and a variety of addresses to ship the money. However, more than 200,000€ has been seized.
