It has a reputation to uphold

Ask anyone who knows the place and they will tell you that it always rains in Manchester.

Of course it isn't true; the city has just as many sunny days as anywhere else in the North West. They city does pay tribute to the reputation though as in this passage way between two streets.

I don't know how long those umbrellas have been there but they do look well used.
